..on paper.. the set didnt look too hard.. stu even said to me its not fast(which is true prior to chrissy my 200m reps were 38-40...um that was when i had some speed!!!! i now officially have none
ok so set was 4x200 @ 44s which is 3:40 pace(i really should be able to cruise that for 200) then 4x400m @88s and 4x200@44s this is def the most amount of reps i have done.. when i queried stu he just said it was slow..he obviously thinks im ahead of where i am or doesnt realise quite how crap i am
..i went down to croydon track(omg it was hot already at 8:45am..left achilles great..right really not so good so the 200's
44,46,45,45 i wont say i was going flat chat...but i was working!!!! could only manage walk recovery between..was trying to walk back and then finish walk in the shade where i could also have a drink and pour water all over me..it did look at the end like i was entered in a wet tshirt competition..lol
400;s WAAAAAY off the mark 93,92,93,93 and i was working very hard in these
..last lot of 200's 43,44,43,44 this set was MUUUUUCH better and even though i was tired..the legs felt like they were starting to remember to move a little faster... the right achilles was noticeable at the end but def better than it was for the first 3 200's
all up with warm up/cool down 7.5 very hot kms didnt ACE the session but another tick in the book i guess :( it feels like im even slower than when i went back to speed work just as i was coming back from injury...maybe i should go check
..anyway massgae for me in an hour or so..but first i have to swing by my DEALER...lol..(car dealer) because the dash light isnt working..these things happen but i cant see my dash at night..and i did scroll the scolly thing before anyone suggests that!
im thinking about cancelling plans to meet up with a gf..it really is just way too hot
: lol after reading this ...i really am a bit of a PRIMA DONNA... no wonder jeremy told stu he was glad he had me4 training as i was too high maintenance...lol... hes only joshing...i assume

Well done to get your session done, yer a toughie, the set was set on a 2:40 runner, a 2:44 time would see your reps at 45 & 90, so closer to what you achieved.
Two changes to your program for this week:
Sat - slow the 1k reps to 4:35-40
Sun - don't run over 80 minutes

4 x 400s in about 97s on Monday
and i struggled with just that!
I'm sure it's the heat that just
makes it so much harder.
Anything you did today would have been hard work in the heat. What sort of car is your new one?
I am suitably impressed with those 400's, especially in this heat.
