...ummmm i think my coach may be trying to kill me

..he's aware that im struggling with every run this week(as hes run a few with me).. and im still doing bucketloads of kms...and struggling BIG TIME..(lol he'll hate this..but he did say when i showed him my 2007 kms that with the kms i will be doing next year..i will either be a machine or..broken!lol..its ok..hes not gonna let me get broken..he is trying to toughen me up a bit i think..i am a bit of a sooky la la(and have never done many kms before..so if i stick at it..i should actually see a significant improvement...the proof will be in the pudding at SANDOWN)
..todays run was HIDEOUS.. no other way to describe it... i tried to get up at 5.45 but just couldnt so got up about 6:30..had almond butter and banana(yep im a little 'Em wanna be' got down to mullum mullum where i started running..my achilles had no give at all for quite some time and my legs were quite simply made of lead!!!!im sure thats just cumulative fatigue..i hope cos otherwise im just craphouse!
i literally stopped for a water break EVERY 2 kms...it was woeful..it was hot but im sure i shouldnt need to stop that much.. i wanted to pull the pin after 2kms as i WAS not enjoying it...but i knew what STU would say..so i kept pluggin away..but there was not ONE minute of niec running..actually i lie..there was one downhill in the shade section that yes for 2 mins i enjoyed.. it was an out 3.75km run so i went out and in twice and then ran a bit more to make it to 90 mins... knee just starting to feel at about 80 mins... i dont know how i forced myself to keep running after the hour..i felt like i wanted to cry.. oh well i guess its one of those mental builders..or some CRAP..cos i cant believe it did my fitness any good with so many stops....and as i always get told when its a bad'un ...its a tick in the book.. so there you go there is a great big fat stinking tick in the book... ummm i think i may still be cranky ..lol

..and i had a powerade after it..even though its not on the liver cleanse..i did actually feel that it was necessary to replenish
..oh and last night after saying i couldnt find anything to buy..on the way to buying fish for dinner..i manage to stop off, have a hair cut, buy 3 singlets. 2 work shirts and a whole heaps of girls stuff so i could have a face mask, foot thingy and overall pamper session
..and boyo boy did i struggle with not having a wine last night...geez i must be an alco..but thanks for the comments guys..it did help a teensy bit with the motivation.. as planned i will have one day per week where i have a respite..but i do need to last 7 before i can do that..saturdays will be my day i think.. not today(fingers crossed).. ive been told to eat carbs(within my plan and get lots of sleep) thanks for that bossy pants(i may well delete that before he gets back and reads it)..lol
oh yeah 90mins 15.8km..here are the min/km for each km (15.8 in total)

Well done on resisting the wine Jo - and on the run in the heat. No problem with having a day off, but just don't splurge too badly - cos you'll feel terrible afterwards.

There are no bad workouts Jo, even the crap ones make you stronger.

The most important carbs are the ones you eat within an hour of a work out, this is the time the body converts to most carb to glycogen which will be stored in your liver and muscles for the next run. Defo not cutting down on them myself, I never met a carb I didn't love.

Hmmmmm, trying to kill ya hey....

Oh well, maybe :) I do remember 4 weeks ago mentioning that this 4 weeks would be tiring and eventually become hard (ish). We will start to reduce a little now and this Tue's racing will be hard, but I wouldn't be surprised if you surprise yourself with some good running...
