..yes a big day yesterday
.. yesterday was stressful at school, i must admit, but hey you move on. However, having said that -all those american crazy school stuff does run through your mind!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yesterday i also decide to errrrr on the side of caution and water run.today i decided i f-ing hated water running and my back was feeling ok so i would give it a go and if it hurt(at all) i would pull hte pin and get in the damn water. OMG-i managed the session-truth will be in the pudding tomorrow when i get up from bed(or stagger out of bed :( ) but im now on day 7 of anti inflamms750mg so they are starting to kick in
had a job interview today which would involve teaching all girls(a nice change from all boys)-but i am in the enviable position of "if i get the job, well and good, and if i dont -well i do actually like where i work)-wasnt the best interview ive ever done(usually i walk out knowing whether i have got the job or not-lucky my referees are absolutely superb(and well regarded) cos i might well need their input to get me over the line(if indeed i even get to the line!)
so the set tonight-based on the end of a 400m race(at 68s) so 150m@25s with jog(shuffle back) recov... then 4 mins between sets...OMG how hard this felt-but i was VERY consistent all25s
felt good-nice and strong,feet hurt(not used to spikes) with a couple of 24's and a mental battle(first real speed speed session) BACK held up-yay barney! we will see how it is in hte morn. Stu wants me to do a time trial for the 800m.that scares the crapola out of me since a) my first 800 last 3 season has been 2.55 - 2.59 and my race for hte masters in sydney is in 4 weeks and i NEED to befaser than that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so as not to humilate myself

I NEED to be running 2.45 at the slowest(which has been my halfway point of season(or 3 years ago was my END OF SEASON!) eeekk and ive only been doing a very small amount of speedwork and then cut off because of back-YIKES
buuuuut i am heaps fitter(and faster ) than last year and i need to get it into perspective..except crikey, what if i dont run anywhere near that 2.45 area, i will BE GUTTED and have no confidence WHATSOEVER- and yes i agree- suck it up and get on with the job and just get out there and run 2.45!
how do you spell..."chomping on fingernails????????????????? gnashgnashgnashgnash???

Talk him into a 600 time-trial - you can tell just as much from that. 150s were good. Anyway, get some of the kids (Stu's too slow) to pace you. If it is 800, 2:45-48 sounds doable.
