a bucketload of wine and a time trial

..well after all my bragging about sleeping in, i was alert at 7am!!!!! so i was extremely decadent for teh day before my healthy eating starts on monday, McDonalds for lunch-shhhhhhhh dont tell my bf and especially not my coach....LOL
then we went over to our friend's place Nic and Dave-ID(i always leave it off and have to add it at the end...lol
im such a baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad guest. we had indian, had the entree and were sitting there and i was reaaaaaaaaaaaallllllllllllllllllly hungry(it was 9 oclock) so i very rudely asked if we could have dinner... lol- i am sooooooooooooooooooo going to fit in with being an oldie who eats at 5:30 at night....bad guest jojo then had a bucketload of wine and struggled to stay awake on the couch... again bad guest...lol
..wasnt happy to get up this morning though! i knew the time trail was gonna be TOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! jogged the warm up ,didnt fell like i had much oomph-wasnt hung over but i knew i had been drinking the night before
did i mention it was windy???????????????????????????????????
no excuse though- i really am pretty crap and just not quite where i want to be yet :( was hoping to do about 2.42
Stu and Dave took off as my pacers, but i couldnt quite keep up -went through about 38s for the 200 but it felt hard!!(first 80m was into the wind) at the 400 i think it was 79s? and i had dropped off a little, i tried to work a bit harder in the 400-500 but it was also into a yukky wind, really struggled for the last 300, coming into the last 100 was the yukky headwind again but i tried to come bac again.disappointingly a 2.46 and i really did work as hard as i could!!!!!!!!! it was HAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRDDDDDDD. i then coughed for a bit then went for the longest 30minute run of all time..ughghghghg it wasnt the company making it feel long (lol, i pormise, David) it was my legs which HATED me that caused it to be not so nice.
never mind, just have to keep pluggin around

Sounds like Stu and Dave were pathetic pace-makers. Aren't they supposed to run just in front and protect you from the wind? Would have been 2:41 if they'd done their job correctly!

You will fit right in at my place- get cranky if I haven't eaten by 7.30! And I like buckets of wine and fall asleep on the couch too. (That could be why I dont get invited anywhere!)

Very windy, it would have been nice if you could have stuck with the pace, but it wasn't to be on the day! But without the wind it would have been 3 sec or so faster I suspect.
