..another day of running-and then some sightseeing
..i can tell you when i awaoke this morning i was not looking forward to todays set- firstly cos i knew i would be well and truly on my own(yep)
the boys were doing 1km,800,600 rest then again 1km,800,600
i spoke with stu and he said to go round in about 96pace(4min pace) but to only do 800,600,400 as more in keeping with my training and also some of the boys are doing just over 3:15km reps!!!!
we took off and i was ages behind them, 200 behind the front runners and 80m behind the next-by the thrid rep, the distance was not quite so pronounced. In the second set the tail enders(2)they were only about 4-10m ahead of me which was pleasing
the rests were more than im used to (we usually do 2min) we did 1:1 which meant 3:10 effort, 3:10 recov. well it was a big group so approx of course
anyway my reps
the ones i needed to make sure i hit
3:12,2:24,96
i hit
3:09, 2:19,91or2 then a 6min rest so we are fully recovered
3:08, 2:18, 88 so with the longer recovery i had definitely recovered, but i went too hard in the first 200 each time (43-44s)
was pretty tired after as it has been a MASSIVE week. then off to the art museum, not long enough to see more than one exhibit, the war museum, not long enough to have a proper dawdle though, and then to parliament house(which was a bit of a snooze i have to say)-could be because i was tired. And then a quick 1hr walk around shops and then home where i managed to get 20mins in for a snooze which perked me up no end.
Trivia and a presentation night tonight, so probs wont get out to the track to see ewen-our race will have to remain virtual ;) theres no way i could have raced tonight...my legs would seriously have packed hteir own suitcase, got on a flight and headed home... hehe
as it is tomorrow, we will be doing 10-15 min run and then some drills and light plyometrics-i MAY be able to do some but not all.we will see. Back is holding up relatively well. I have been doing good stuff for the back-mainly cos im SCARED to death of those damn needles tomorrow
eek but at least i get to see my bf-but there wont be much relaxing as we have the rugrats this weekend

Kev's speeches are enough to put anyone to sleep.
As you chickened out, I only jogged the 3000 for a bit of fun. I would have run 5:39.9 for sure if I'd raced you the 15.
