..ahem..am i supposed to be a runner???

..cos surely if im a runner i should be able to do sets that are set for me...lol

dont worry im not after 'youre going ok etc etc

but i could not manage the proposed set of 800,1km,1.2km,1km,800m all at 4min/km pace (96s laps)
in the first one where i VERY nearly made hte time, i kinda bent over and said to stu...no WAY can i manage it.... no idea if it was tired legs from sat or what but htere was no FREAKING chance.. he said i could drop back to 800s if i wanted..so next rep 800 4:08min/km then did a 1km rep, 4:11min/km 800 4:10min/km(or 100s laps) then 800@ 4:08min/km

so in the end 2x800, 1x1km,2x800 1lap warm up 4x100 strides 3 lap cool down
but felt DREADFUL(not sick -just no push in the legs,less than zero speed), i sucked it up as best i could, but that was all i could do. i tried , i failed. no jockeying and saying i did well thanks cos it is NOT true, i did OK but that is as FAR as you could stretch it
..no im not being hard on myself...sometimes you have to be realistic and realise you had a SHIT day of running
..anyway holidays tomorrow..just cant wait for a sleep in on monday-have to get up quite early sat/sun
dinner tonight with the lad-at The brook..pretty cool, a reasonable steak n chips that was well cooked for $15
alright gonna duck off, no running tomorrow -out partying with my friend kat and then running sat morning followed by a family function,stu may have to push me out of bed mind you!

Maybe ask Mr Meanie to start you off a tad slower than 4:00 ks next time. Building into the set might work better.

We all have days like that. For me, they seem to be getting more regular!
