happy with that run
...had pd today...hmmm dont love he activity based ones but there were a few moments when i actually got some good info
ate like crap today :( need to be a bit better, but am happy with my weight(well i was before today) am 61.xx which is a kg less than i normally am happy to sit at
anyway they finihsed a bit early so i went shopping-i now have a wish list
3 stools
a tall boy(lol that always cracks me up-had never heard a chest of drwaers called that til i was 18 still pmsl)
2 bedside tables
this great mirror ($399)
and i nearly bought a factory second 32 inch plasma for $550 but lucky for my ccard stu wasnt listening very well when i asked if i should/could buy it
anyway the run today was 4x5min efforts with 90s walk,90sec shuffle recovery..wasnt sure how i would go as my legs were kinda tired after the 83min run
the following were my speeds(was a bit more conservative than in the past few weeks-my first reps have been about 4:10 but i havent been able to maintain and have been dropping up)
1.3km warm up
rep1: 4:15min/km
rep 2 4:19min/km
rep 3 4:17min/km
rep4 4:10min/km
and most pleasing of all is i sat with stu for the entire last rep which is a first-hes usually 20ish mtres ahead(he said afterwards he couldve worked harder(which im sure he could) but hey, why didnt he then????????a few times he sped up alittle-not much, i sped up a little, admittedly i was working a LOT harder.
im really starting to look forward to sandown..maybe sub 45 is a possibility after all-
(3 years ago) the year i ran 45:36, no way could i have maintained those reps that year(but then i was a younger chicky..lol (each rep was around 1.15-1.2km)
im hoping stu will advise me on what pace i should sit on for the first 3-4kms and then i can just take it from there...he wont talk to me about it yet :(
i think i also need new racers-been running in the same pair for 3 years(and i dont really like them) they were the green DS but i dont love them-my feet seem happier in narrow nikes..must have a scout around this weekend and try them in training next week
anyway thats it-hope you all had a nice day :) miss j

The Nike Mayfly was the fastest Nike - not sure if they still make them.
Yep, go for it at Sandown. You should be good for 22-low through 5k.
My 10km PB is 44:01 (2007), but I know I couldn't even get close to that at the moment.
