yep miss j has been an abset friend this week ;)
i personall BLAME school-lol
started back at work last friday so been a bit full on...wheew
then i had to drive stu and his boys to bendigo(had to is not the right word, chose to) for state multis..his niece medalled woohoo... and his athletes did well
STINKING hot though, dont know the area so just ran an out an back on the road 47 mins 8.5kms BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
then grabbed 4 junior burgers and took them back to the pool for a break-a long day at the track otherwise
then stu and i went out for dinner and it was fun-stu was a bit tiddly i think..lol
then sunday morning he REFUSED to come for a run woth me, so i ran a BAF(boring as f%$#%) run along hte road and back..tired legs and it was already hot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i have been having some shin issues which are bothering me for over a week now,,,definitely a SPOT....stu reckons a massage might be the go..im going to put a few more water runs in...
it hurts more jogging or walking, the speed work does not hurt at all....and hurt is a strong strong word...not overly comfprtable would be better
monday-dry needling...after a trip from hell home from bendigo OMG it was a storm and a half..SCARY scary SCARY... it hurt-as expected...ENOUGH said..i want to ostrich for a bit really
tuesday -hot and we are training..stu slightly modified to 5x800m @ 3:10 yeah man thats fast, but he did give us long recovery)thank christ, cos thats still working pretty hard for me!!!!!)
so times were 3.09,3.09,3.08,3.10,3.10 felt like crap but didnt reduce even though stu had said i could do 6's after the first rep/windy, whats new, but sat beind stu who is a pretty good windbreak.....lol
wasnt happy with sore shins in teh warm up, but nothing during hte set, and when i was less 'heel striking' in the cool down, then i wasnt feeling it
anyway beddy byes for this tired munchkin and sorry no spellcheck so you have to live with errors...well that came out wrong but im not doing the spellcheck

I've been getting a few little shin niggles too ... not bad enough to call it pain yet, but just enough to make you worry it's going to get worse.
Did you ask Karen to have a look at your shin? Just get the ice to it after a run and a bit of self massage too, run your thumb along the shin between the bone and the muscle.
Ice massage is good too, pop some ice cubes in a plastic bag and rub it up and down your shin.
Oh yeah baby, if it's one thing I do know it's shin pain remedies :-)
