..way too tired but still training well
... good set thurs...OMG could i be being more positive about the running?
anyway saturday was a reps set in the pool (being good, but also barney is being NAUGHTY at the moment(and my sports doc is unavailable-really hope she is okay)
so the set 10x200(40s) with 60s recov
i ran all up for 44mins and when i did the rep set, i was working WAY hard, i did an ACTIVE recovery for the 60s then off to the shield final, where our underage girls team won -woohoo
on the sunday i was due for a 60min run, but then i ran with lauren P for the 70 mins9didnt want her to get lost) and we were having a good chat anyway -shes a nice gal (GB on the forum)
Em, shes having some shin issues so i suggested she pm you as the resident expert
-then as the boys had done all 'our stuff all weekend' we gave them the choice for lunch and an activity of their choice. Pancake Parlour it was then a video game arcade(i went shopping for a while)
then monday had a parent information night so didnt leave school til 8.20(ughgghgh some parents are annoying but then thats all part of it)-so straight after school i went to the pool and did a 36 min pool run(equates to 6.5kms) and yes i have to count my water running kms as it is a long term thing and i need the comparison
-then tonight felt faint before my set tonight. i even had loolies(never have lollies, im a savoury gal) in case it was blood sugar(about the third time in the last two weeks i have been feeling faint, maybe i need electrolytes after long runs????? really not sure but it has been a few times lately(when i trained for the mara, i felt faint all the time..i thought at the time low blood pressure and started eating a bit of licorice, which helped somewhat
..maybe just OVERTIRED?
anyway, warmup i was like stu, any chance of moving to 400s..
his set was 3x600s long recov with first 400@90 (1500 pace) and hten speed up for last 200
strides was like-are you kidding me? the legs are unhappy..was feeling very grumpy indeed and wondering how i would do the set...oh and it was windy as all hell!(only ran into the wind once per 600)
errr dont ask me what happened i n the first rep....i was possessed
i ran 82 for the first 400 and then 40 for the last 200 so 2.02 for 600....errr 8s too fast missy and my 2.37 i ran 1.56 for the forst 600!!!!
4-5min recovery
legs wobbly -oops
out to fast in the first 200(41) then slowed 85 at the 400 sped up against all my legs wobbling and me wanting to step off hte trap mind games! and ran 2.07
final rep was a killer, 86 for the 400 and then 41 so 2.07
so faster than was probs expected(stu prob expected 2.10) but i also probs worked harder than expected
rest day tomorrow-woohoo racing a 1500 at Olympic Park on thursday-quite excited
stu wants me to do 5.35..i will be amazed but very happy if this happens..not convinced though-have only broken 5.40 once since i returned to running...... okay peoples-whats the prediction
a mars bar to the nearest person ;)

Oh, I love Mars Bars, haven't had one for yonks
I will say 5:39.7
I got a PM from Lauren, I probably sent her WAY to much info back so hopefully some of it was helpful.
What's up with Dr K, I hope she hasn't finally worked herself into the ground!
I'll have a Mars Bar. 2:38.53 if you manage to forget about the last lap when running the third lap ;)
A good page for age-grade tables is here. Run 2:36 at 39 and you'll "beat" your age-10 PB :)
I'll go for 5:34
